Art DISASTER

Do you remember the film Art DISASTER that stared Rowan Atkinson?

He was the somewhat hapless art invigilator, at the Royal National Gallery in Britain who was involved in the safe display of the famous “Whistlers Mother” by. James Mc Neill Whistler. Things went wrong in pretty quick succession, but Mr Bean had a cunning plan.

Well, never mind about Whistlers Mother, how about buggering up a Van Gogh. I was at a local auction recently and spotted a dusty old frame which housed an oil painting on board. Signed Vincent, could this really be a missing Vincent Van Gogh?. Errrr NO.

It was an interesting piece featuring a Pied Piper character leading a parade of working folks. Yes, it's that one up there with the smudged out characters. I immediately thought of Mr Bean and his art disaster. I had to buy it. And why you ask?. Well despite its distress, its still a wonderful piece of home decor and a great talking point. (Could it really be a Van Gogh?). A closer inspection revealed a second “artist” may be involved it its development! Mr Bean perhaps?Take a closer look at it in the Art section of the shop.
