Herbert Terry 1227 table lamp
Herbert Terry Angle-poise circa 1940
Somewhat of an icon, the Herbert Terry Angle poise table lamp, model 1227.
This particular one has features which appear to date its manufacture to the late 30s - mid 40s so it a very early example.
The Art Deco inspired 2 step cast case being threaded to hold the v section frame which is of mild steel as are the square profile arms.
The base is finished in a textured crackle effect mat black paint.
The shade is Aluminium and features 4 holes at the back and an arrangement of pin hole ventilation holes about the Crabtree bakelite lamp holder, which itself is switched.
This is a functioning lamp, wired in twisted pvc coated flex.
There is no earth flex on this unit.
This is an un restored item with mild signs of age commensurate with use.
