Edwardian era Carver dining chair

Early 20th century furniture

From times past. This Edwardian  chair would have been one of a set of dining chairs from more affluent families of the time. The chair, known as a carver, would most probably be the masters or mistresses and would head the dining table with similar accompanying open work chairs usually 4 or 6 to make the set.

Now presented as an occasional  feature chair, this carver has survived the passing years remarkably well and is in good order throughout. Strong in joint, no worm.  Sure to last another 100 years.
