Chinese Meiping style crackle glaze vase
Iron Red ginger jar
£600.00
This fine ceramic jar is an interesting piece having a scroll design in red oxide overlaid with what appears to be a green dragon with head side on revealing its eye highlighted in yellow.
The whole vase from shoulder to foot exhibits crackle glaze and is evenly formed throughout.
Above the shoulder the underlying ceramic of the vase is visible, with a roughly formed wooden cap covering the mouth.
A four character stamp is clearly evident on the base in blue underglaze
Attributed to the early Qing dynasty
Height 25 cm
base diameter 8 cm
A fine collectors piece.
