A very fine 19th Century sculptural bust in Alabaster or Marble of a young lady thought to represent Joan of Arc
She is dressed in headscarf and a peasant style dress and displays a somewhat pensive mood.
This is a beautifully sculpted item and is signed to the rear, which reads Bessie. Attributed to Giuseppe Bessi.
Condition: Good and clean. minor chip to headscarf edge.
