Fine British cabinet making

Being of late Regency to early Victorian era, this fine British made Walnut Chiffonier was made by noted and respected cabinet makers Wilkinson and Sons of London.

Identifying stamp and product number of the door frame reveals the piece was made at their workshops at No 14 Ludgate Hill, London between 1825 and 1833.

 Size 91cm high x 95 cm wide x 26 cm deep.

Minor loss of veneer in a couple of places, At some point in the past the original upper shelf was lost or removed,

so the piece now presents as a useful book case or storage more in keeping with todays homes. 

Condition. Item stands stable on four square tapered feet. No worm. No loose joints 

Finish: Walnut, French polish and bees wax
